Freeride from lifts above the Arctic Circle with options for heli-skiing, snowmobiles and dog sledding!
Are you ready to redefine winter?!? In Lapland, it lasts for half the year, and the best skiing conditions start in April!
Add to that a diverse terrain and the possibility of extending the adventure with heli-skiing, and you have the perfect recipe for an epic season finale!
Our destination is the area around the town of Riksgränsen, surrounded by steep mountains offering countless freeride possibilities. To make the most of it, we’ll have the option of heli-skiing in addition to off-piste skiing from lifts – of course, at an extra cost 😉
We’ll take advantage of having rental cars and hit the freeride spots in nearby resorts: Abisko, Björkliden and Narvik.
Riksgränsen is a small resort, relatively unknown outside of Scandinavia, with so much snow that at one point the town was abandoned for years due to transportation difficulties!
The terrain features natural half-pipes, jumps, ridges, drops, and other formations perfect for playing in the snow.
It’s an ideal place to practice freeriding and try your hand at freeskiing tricks.
We’ll stay in a comfortable hotel right at the foot of the resort and lifts. If enough people are interested, we’ll also fly heli-ski from there. Everything is planned to maximize your time for freeriding and relaxation. You’ll also have access to a sauna and a hot tub in the frosty air, topped off with a gourmet dinner. In your free time, we can arrange dog sledding across frozen lakes in Abisko National Park or snowmobile rides.
Get ready for a 6-day snow safari in Lapland! Off-Piste extends the winter season! Lapland Arctic Freeride – and so what if it’s in Sweden 😛

OFF PISTE – Terrain Details:
- In Swedish Lapland, the mountains aren’t very high (800-1200m above sea level), and the vertical drop ranges from 400-700m
- Being located above the Arctic Circle provides excellent snow conditions well into spring, down to sea level
- Thanks to the rental cars, we will also visit nearby resorts: Abisko, Bjorkliden, and Norwegian Narvik
- For those interested, there will be an opportunity to go on a tour to a nearby shelter or organize a snowmobile trip.
- During Heli-Ski (if we have enough participants):
- We have a large area to explore, covering several nearby peaks, each offering multiple descent options
- We can do up to 7 drops a day with a total vertical drop of 4000m
- We’ll ride with a local IVBV guide
- We don’t plan to repeat any descents, as the terrain is vast
- We’ll depart from our hotel 🙂
- During freeride in Riksgränsen:
- We’ll operate within the ski resort, with direct access from our hotel
- The vertical drop here is slightly smaller, about 300m
- The terrain is extraordinary, offering numerous interesting options for drops, tricks, natural half-pipes, or short slopes with inclines up to 40 degrees
- For less experienced riders, Riksgränsen also has wide, relatively gentle slopes
- In the resort, you’ll ski at your own risk – without a certified guide, but our team leader will offer plenty of advice and guidance 🙂
- During freeride at the other resorts:
- We will also visit the nearby resorts: Abisko, Bjorkliden and Narvik
- The Narvik resort is the largest and offers runs with a vertical drop of 900 meters
- Abisko is called the Swedish La Grave due to the lack of prepared slopes 😉
- At these resorts, you’ll ski at your own risk – without a certified guide
Difficulty Level: 5/10

- We always give the lowest possible difficulty level, which means that in Lapland, you can choose moderately challenging descents, but there are plenty of PRO options for experts who enjoy steep slopes, drops, and other fun formations.

Day 1 (April 5)
Most likely, we’ll fly from Warsaw with one stopover to Narvik. In the afternoon, we’ll land above the Arctic Circle 🙂 Then we’ll hop into cars and drive to Riksgränsen.
Days 2-7
Time for some extraordinary fun at the Riksgränsen resort! Our playground will be the off-piste areas, which we’ll access via lifts. The terrain here is incredibly varied, offering plenty of opportunities to perfect your freeride tricks.
During the trip, on any day (with some advance booking), we can fly heli-ski – if enough people are interested 😉 Our range is wide, covering several peaks that offer descents with a vertical drop of around 400-700 meters.
We’ll use our cars to explore freeride terrain in three other ski resorts in the region.
There are also options for ski touring, snowmobile trips, and dog sledding – things every Lapland local has mastered by the age of five 😉
On the seventh day, there’s a big freeride event at our hotel, ending with a proper party in the evening.
Day 8
In the morning, we’ll head to the airport and return home.
